The animal of the day is the Flying Fish. (Did you know: When they erupt from the water and start ‘flying’ [really gliding], they almost double their speed up to almost 40 miles per hour! They make these leaps to evade predators like sailfish and dolphins!
Barbados is known as the ‘land of the flying fish’ [I know this because I'm half Barbadian], and I can tell you from personal experience that those bad boys are delicious! In recent years however, not as many flying fish migrate to Barbados as they used to. Actually, most migrating flying fish no longer go north of Trinidad and Tobago [where my other half is from!]
