Animal of the day – 8/03/2010 – The Western Small-Footed Myotis

Western Small-Footed Myotis

The animal of the day is the Western Small-Footed Myotis. (Did you know: This insect eating bat eats up to 600 insects PER HOUR while feeding. They eat pounds of mosquitoes every day, so for that, we must thank these plucky little bats! They live all the way from down in Mexico to up in Canada!)

  1. Maybe he should come visit my house and eat all the bugs outside. That would be the best! Mosquitos don’t serve a purpose anyway!
