Animal of the day – 1/4/2011 – The Okapi

Okapi

The animal of the day is the Okapi. (Did you know: Ok, this is a weird animal, but THIS GUY is really pissed about them. Go read that link then come back here for reasonable argument when you’re done.

K, you back? That guy is banana nut cakes! But I like him. I’m adding a link to his site over on the right. He is now one of my homies.

Okapi’s are also known as the African Unicorn, which makes no sense since they obviously have two ‘ossicones’ like Giraffes do [except only male okapi have these!]

The tongue of the okapi is also long enough for the animal to wash its eyelids and clean its ears (inside and out). This sticky tongue is pointed and bluish grey in colour like the giraffes!

No Words.
