The Basilisk
The animal of the day is the Basilisk aka the Jesus Lizard. (Did you know: This isn’t a mythical creature, but a genus of South American lizard that can run so fast, it can run on water! It has recently been introduced to Florida, where is seems to be doing quite well. No crowing of a rooster at dawn will stop this lizard! Well, unless the rooster eats him…That’d show him.)

Wow. I really expected a picture of the Basilisk in the HP movie…to my surprise, it’s just a lil’ fella that walks on water! He’s awesome!
