The animal of the day is the Cardinal.  (Did you know: Cardinals don’t migrate! They stick around and tough it out during winter time here in Northern America! During the coldest days, up to 70 of these birds can be found huddled together in a thick bush if you look closely enough!

Also, one of these flew into my glass sliding door the other day! Apparently, the males are ferociously territorial, and will attack any male in their territory. Poor guy saw his reflection in the glass door and tried to attack it. (Don’t worry he was fine, just looked like his pride was hurt).
